2006 Crabbe Speed Camp Correction
Cost is $105.00/athlete for Crabbe Racers.
Depending on what terrain is open we may or may not be able to do a complete Race Simulation tomorrow. Training will still be Slalom on Saturday and G.S. on Sunday with a long course. We will attempt to have the timing set up as well. At least for the second run on Saturday.
thanks and see you all tomorrow.

Cancellation Notice
Due to the Freezing Rain this morning and the continued Rain this afternoon Wednesday Night Race Training is Cancelled for this week. Regular Race training will continue on Saturday and Sunday.

January 16-22nd
Dryland training times have changed. I believe it is now 7:00-8:30 which does mean we will have less Entry level and K1 athletes due to the time. K2 and up are still expected to complete as much dryland as possible.
Wednesday looks like a little warm weather but not nearly what was called for earlier in the week and with the cold weather today and tomorrow they should be able to blow enough snow to help the Horn. Wednesday training is a go as normal.
Saturday and Sunday will be GS/SL accordingly with a demonstration of ski tuning at 11:00a.m. in the race hut followed by a pot luck lunch. The weather looks warm again but training days are far and few between so turnout is important.
COMMIT YOURSELF TO YOUR RACING
When you are on course, there is no room for being tentative. If you let up or back off going in the middle of a run, you are going to be in trouble. At best, you will be slow. At worst, you will fall and could injure yourself. One of the most important things you must do when they get into the starting gate is to be totally committed to going as fast and hard as you can.

ATTENTION K1
The Race at Poley this weekend has been cancelled due to the WEATHER. Contact was made today by Brian Belyea that due to the rain and continual deterioration of the hill racing is not possible. We will be training at Crabbe Weather Permitting. Please bring suitable rain gear. Due to the limited days of training we must Make Every Day Count. I will update this in case of hill closure.
Thanks Rien.

This Weeks TIP
To start you on your way towards better mental
preparation, ask yourself the following five questions before each run.
1. What is my goal for this run? (e.g., be aggressive, run a straighter line)
2. What is my focus for this run? (e.g., keep my arms in front)
3. Can I see myself doing it? (use imagery to mentally practice what you want to
achieve)
4. Am I at my optimal intensity level? (Am I too psyched up? Too relaxed?)
5. Am I committed to making this run? (Will I give it 100% and fight all the way
down?)
Then, commit to MAKING EVERY RUN COUNT. You will soon notice the improvements.

K1 Race at Poley
Attention to all parents of Entry Athletes. Athletes are only allowed to compete in this race if they are 9 and up. If you have signed up for this race I will simply remove their name from the start list. There will still be training on Sat/Sun as usual with Marc. Thanks and sorry about the confusion.
